About Jiling

Jiling Lin, L.Ac. is an acupuncturist, herbalist, and yoga teacher in Ventura, CA. She empowers wild, creative, spirited health through embodied classes, clinics, and more holistic resources. Jiling specializes in treating pain, trauma, and complex chronic conditions. Passionate about living life as art and environmental stewardship, Jiling brings years of outdoor education, improvisational dance, and global adventures to her Earth- centered teachings and practices. She facilitates embodied-wellness events nationally and internationally, including wilderness- immersion retreats, herbal workshops, community acupuncture, and emergency medical support. Her adventures hiking, backpacking, surfing, climbing, botanizing, and traveling re- inspires her daily loving commitment to reconnecting the wilderness of the human spirit with the wild world surrounding us.


Jiling is a Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac.) and Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, board licensed by both the California Acupuncture Board and National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).

Jiling received her Master's of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (MSAOM) from Alhambra Medical University, where she studied traditional Chinese medicine. She studied classical Chinese medicine at the National University of Natural Medicine, and apprenticed at community clinics and hospitals throughout Taiwan and China.


Jiling regularly writes articles and records podcasts for Mountain Rose Herbs and HerbRally. She studied western herbalism at the Northeast School of Botanical Medicine, Ithaca Free Clinic, and Colorado School of Clinical Herbalism. Jiling has years of experience leading wilderness awareness and outdoor adventure classes and trips throughout USA and China.


Jiling’s yoga classes build mobility, stability, flexibility, and strength in a gentle yet powerful fusion of body, breath, and mind for thriving passionate and compassionate life expression. She studied Sivananda-style Hatha yoga with Yoga Vidya in southern India, taught in India, China, and Taiwan, and studied wilderness-based Wild Yoga with Balanced Rock in Yosemite. Jiling encourages creative expression, integrating art and creativity into her clinical and educational work. She facilitates playful and mindful creative improvisation through movement, vocalization, story-telling, writing, drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, and other multi-dimensional mixed media arts. She teaches Contemplative Movement Practice, "Botany Illustrated," botanical ceramics, botanical print-making, and other creative medicine workshops.

Jiling is a Certified Interplay Leader. She graduated from UCLA with a BA in Studio Art, specializing in photojournalism. Her dance influences includes contact improvisation, ecstatic dance, contemplative dance practice, Five Rhythms, and other somatic studies from Earthdance, Omega Institute, Naropa University, Northampton (MA), New Haven (CT), Boulder (CO), Portland (OR), Taipei (Taiwan), and Los Angeles (CA) dance communities.
